傳統(tǒng)生化在一段濃稠的歷史中，漸漸消失其原神，舞者踏在舞臺(tái)上，重新召喚那失落的聲音，外面太嘈雜，重心潰散地散落在不確定的方圓，那里雖然黑暗，但不平靜，一幕幕的人間鬧劇暴露其間，顯示了一種惡的根源，在那里人心呢喃，在不確定的風(fēng)暴中爭取著安全的位置，趨吉避空，了斷自己的恩仇，建立自己的霸業(yè)，乾坤顛倒，幻象重生。
重回傳統(tǒng)的腳步，聆聽那種節(jié)奏與聲音在空間中流蕩，熟悉又陌生，卻步步為營，雖一片廣闊的天地，卻埋藏在幽暗的叢林間，忽然豁然開朗。但在那景象到達(dá)之前，還有一條黑暗的走道。他們要求我們的身體全神貫注，聆聽那些潛流的聲音，重新在自己的身體找其形狀，流淌著疏密聚散的節(jié)奏，回歸傳統(tǒng)的路上已不再傳統(tǒng)，它已流進(jìn)生命延續(xù)的血脈里。
踏入了二十一世紀(jì)，《十面埋伏》在現(xiàn)代意義上豐富了傳統(tǒng)表達(dá)的語言，楊麗萍的陣營加入了優(yōu)秀的生力軍，進(jìn)入這個(gè)巨大的工程中，各施其技，到達(dá)這個(gè)回歸的漩渦里，試驗(yàn)創(chuàng)造，對未來找尋傳統(tǒng)交匯出新的啟發(fā)。
Tradition seems to be losing its core meanings as it develops through history. Dancers are recalling such lost voices as they move on stage. Elements in the universe lose themselves and create limitless noises in history. There is darkness and uneasiness. Humans enact their temptations repeatedly, showing the source of evil. In there, people fighting for their positions of safety, victories, successes, jealousy, revenges, power and destiny. The universe is full of images and actions of complexity and struggles.
Searching for the path of tradition, listening to the echoes of history flowing in the air. The route to blue sky is hidden in the forests and mountains before it reveals itself. This is a slow process in the darkness before the destination is reached. We are required to concentrate and to focus on the rhythm of sound and movements hidden in our bodies and blood. The path to tradition is not the traditional way, it is nested inside our bodies and souls.
Many new talents have jointed Yang Liping to the 21st century to create “Under Siege(the full story of Farewell to My Concubine )”,searching for new ways to express tradition and history in this modern world. This is a tremendous project where they search, experiment and create new expressions and ideas for the search of traditions in the future.
